The Bulletin

What's actually happening on the farm today — no stock photos, no guesswork. Pinned up fresh, same as it's always been.

October – June

Seasonal Festivals

Six festivals a year, each tied to what's actually growing. Every Saturday and Sunday in season, plus extra days over school breaks.

October

Ice Scream Festival

Our fall kickoff — ice cream flavors you won't find the rest of the year, hayrides, and the U-Pick pumpkin patch opens.
November

Thanksgiving Festival

A weekend built around the harvest table — fresh collards, sweet potatoes, and a farm-to-table market of local makers.
December

Citrus Christmas

Our signature season. Satsumas straight off the tree, lights across the farm, and hot cider by the fire.
March – April

Strawberry Splash

Spring kickoff and peak strawberry season — U-Pick rows, live music, and shortcake made fresh on-site every weekend.
May

Flower Festival

U-Pick blooms across the fields, a market of local growers, and photo spots the whole family will want a picture in.

Our Story

The Story Behind Our Name

Mikael and I are a married farming couple and parents of four children. Our lives were forever changed when our second baby, Mitchell, died at just two months old from SIDS.

In the moments following our son's death, we did not stand alone. Our community — family, friends, church members, and coworkers — held us up with prayer, meals, visits, and countless messages of care. In that season of loss, we learned how deeply we depend on one another. It reshaped our lives and gave purpose to our work: strengthening community and rebuilding the local food supply, one neighbor at a time.

Having been cared for so deeply by those around us, we now choose to care for our community in return. We source locally because it keeps profits close to home and supports people we know and trust. It's a simple choice, but a meaningful one.

Grief also marked the beginning of our health journey. As we searched for healing, we learned how deeply stress affects the body and how little a heavily processed diet supports recovery. We began researching, learning, and trialing different approaches to food, ultimately returning to the basics — real food, higher-quality ingredients, and simple preparation — leaving synthetics and unnecessary additives behind. Food became not just fuel, but part of the healing process.

Three years after our son's passing, God has gifted us with the opportunity to feed our neighbors and strengthen community through Mitchell's Market. We are starting with produce, but this is only the beginning. Our mission is to grow into your local grocer — one that provides food meant to truly nourish you.

Thank you for supporting our family and our mission. We invite you to join us on this journey.

In loving memory of our son Mitchell.
